Good morning/afternoon. Thank you for having me today.

My name is [FULL NAME], and I recently graduated from [UNIVERSITY NAME]
with a degree in [Information Technology / Software Engineering].

During my final year, I built [PROJECT NAME — e.g., an online banking
simulation / an e-commerce website] as my capstone project. I developed
the backend using Java and Spring Boot, with [MySQL / PostgreSQL] as the
main database, and I used Redis for caching. Through this project, I
learned how to design REST APIs, work with databases, and handle basic
security with JWT authentication.

I chose backend development because I enjoy solving logic problems and
building systems that work reliably behind the scenes.

I want to work at VPBank because banking systems require high accuracy,
security, and performance — and I believe that is the best environment
for me to grow as a backend engineer. I know VPBank invests a lot in
digital banking, and I would love to contribute to that.

That's a short introduction about myself. Thank you.

1.2. Bản rút gọn 30 giây

Hi, I'm [NAME]. I graduated from [UNIVERSITY] in Information Technology.
My main skills are Java, Spring Boot, and SQL. For my final project,
I built [PROJECT NAME] with a REST API backend and a MySQL database.
I'm applying for this position because I want to build reliable and
secure systems, and banking is the best place to learn that. Thank you.

Q1. Tell me about yourself.

I'm a fresh graduate from [UNIVERSITY], majoring in Information Technology.
I focus on backend development with Java and Spring Boot. In my final
project, I built a REST API for [PROJECT] and worked with MySQL and Redis.
I'm a careful person, and I like writing clean, well-tested code — I think
that fits the banking environment.

Q2. Why do you want to work for a bank / for VPBank?

Banking systems handle money and personal data, so they require high
accuracy and security. I want to learn how to build that kind of system
from the beginning of my career. I also know that VPBank is one of the
leading banks in digital transformation in Vietnam, so I believe I can
learn modern technology here, not just legacy systems.

Q3. What are your strengths?

My main strength is that I'm careful with details. When I code, I always
test my work before pushing it. I'm also a fast learner — during my final
project, I learned Redis by myself in about two weeks because we needed
caching.

Q4. What are your weaknesses?

Sometimes I spend too much time trying to make my code perfect, even for
small tasks. I'm learning to manage my time better — now I set a time
limit for each task, and if I get stuck, I ask my teammates for help
instead of struggling alone.

Q5. Tell me about your final project.

My final project was [PROJECT NAME]. I worked in a team of [three], and
I was responsible for the backend. I designed the database schema and
built the REST APIs using Spring Boot. We used JWT for authentication
and Redis for caching frequently accessed data. The biggest challenge
was handling concurrent updates — we solved it by using database
transactions and optimistic locking.

Q6. Why did you choose backend development?

I enjoy working with logic and data more than with user interfaces.
Backend is where the core business logic lives — payments, transactions,
data processing. I find it satisfying when I design an API and it works
correctly under many different situations.

Q7. Where do you see yourself in 3 years?

In the first year, I want to become a solid backend developer who can
handle tasks independently. After that, I want to understand the banking
domain deeply — things like payment systems and core banking. In three
years, I hope to be a key member of my team who can also support new
junior members.

Q8. How do you handle pressure and deadlines?

First, I break the big task into smaller pieces and estimate each one.
Then I focus on the most important part first. If I see that I might
miss the deadline, I inform my team leader early instead of staying
silent. During my final project, we had only two weeks before the
demo, and this approach helped us finish on time.

Q9. What do you do when you face a problem you cannot solve?

First, I try to understand the problem clearly and search for similar
issues in the documentation or on Stack Overflow. I give myself a time
limit — usually about one or two hours. If I still cannot solve it,
I ask a teammate or my mentor, and I prepare a clear question: what I
tried and what the error was.

Q10. Do you have any questions for us?

Yes, I have two questions. First, what does the onboarding process look
like for fresher developers here — is there a mentor system? Second,
what technology stack does the team use — for example, are you using
microservices or moving to the cloud?
